Getting Started

1. Initial Design Feasibility

Whether your idea is well developed or you are looking to get some basic information to determine feasibility, SolarForce should be your first call. We can give you the information you need to put you on track. All we need to get started is some simple information about your building, and your approximate electricity and/or gas consumption which can be as easy as telling us how big your last bill was. Other helpful details include approximate orientation of your roof, roof material, and major electrical loads in your facility.

2. Free Education Presentation and Site Evaluation

A SolarForce representative can come to your site and answer any questions about how solar power can work for your facility. During this visit the system designer will collect enough information to generate a proposal for either a turnkey installation or the preparation of a design package. Site evaluations are usually free of charge and take 1 to 2 hours to perform. It is a good opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about how solar works, the installation process, or any other technical or financial questions you may have.

3. Receive Proposal

SolarForce will deliver a proposal to you by email or in person. This proposal will usually include the initial system design, total cost, and amount of all rebates and tax credits. Proposals can also include a simulation of your expected electrical usage, cash flow calculations, payback calculations, and projected billing with your new solar power system. In the case of a design proposal, the proposal will outline the scope of work, and estimated cost of the design work.

4. Sign Contract

When you decide to do the project you will then sign a contract with SolarForce. From here SolarForce will take care of everything. This includes: design, permitting, construction, inspections, utility interconnection, and rebate collection.
